The Turtle-Flambeau Flowage is a 14,321 acre impoundment created in 1926. It is the 4th largest inland body of water in the State. there is approximately 217 miles of shoreline (inlcuding islands) with 95% owned by the DNR as of September 1990. there are over 150 islands on the Flowage. Walleye is the dominate fishery. The miles of undisturbed shoreline provide an outdoor experience that is unmatched in the region. The Flowage also has the highest collective numbers of blak eagles, osprey and common loon breeding pairs in Wisconsin. From Fishing -
Bass, Crappie, Musky, Northern Pike, Perch and Walleye are available to the fisherman. The Flambeau River is an added plus to the area. Scenic sightseeing trips or fishing trips are also available. Guides available for fishing or hunting through the resort. To Hunting - Bear, Deer, Ducks, Grouse and Rabbits are here for the hunter. Also miles of county land and trails to hunt on. To Snowmobiling - There are approximately 325 miles of snowmobile trails in the area with one trail leaving the resort. There are also miles of marked and maintained ATV trails in Iron County. There are restaurants within minutes of the resort by boat, snowmobile or car.
Our cabins are completely modern with gas stoves, refrigerators and freezers, microwave ovens and showers. The cabins also have color TV's and VCR's along with furnished linens, but please supply your own bath and dish towels. For
